Online Databases

The online databases of the Herman Ottó Museum contain the collections of five museum disciplines (mineralogy, archeology, ethnography, history, fine arts) partially. Their purpose is to promote research, and help the orientation in the collections for the public.

The copyright owner / rights manager of the works (works of art, photographs, representations, and descriptive data) in the database is the Herman Ottó Museum. The low-resolution preview images (works of art, representations) of the works published here and their descriptive data may not be used for commercial purposes. Information related to the work (photo) (name of the author, right holder, rights manager, name of the work, inventory number) must be indicated in the manner specified by the author or right holder. The work may be redistributed under the same or an interchangeable license as at present.

A copy of the entire database cannot be requested. The access to high-resolution, publishable, watermark-free photos requires the written permission of the Herman Ottó Museum, which can be downloaded here.
