The rules for loaning cultural goods included in the basic inventory of museum institutions are laid down in Act CXL of 1997. Act 38 / A. § (1) – (3) and 29/2014. (IV. 10.) of the EMMI. Based on these legal regulations, we would like to inform our customers who wish to borrow from our collections that the Herman Ottó Museum and the Miskolc Gallery undertake to fulfill the requests within 60 days. The deadline does not include the duration of the mandatory ministerial approval in the respective cases. Please take this into account when planning your exhibitions and rentals!

In order to ensure the smoothness of the administration, we ask the Borrower to appoint a responsible administrator and contact person at the beginning of the procedure, who will personally accompany the administration of the loaning process!

Loaning of works of art is possible only by concluding a rental contract in accordance with the model documents of the Ministry and by completing the mandatory annexes in full.
