PHOTOGRAPHY, DIGITAL COPIES, PHOTO PUBLISHING

TAKING PHOTOS BY YOURSELF AND PUBLISHING THESE

The artifacts, documents and finds belonging to the researchable collections of the Herman Ottó Museum may be photographed with own equipment in possession of a research permit, under the conditions set out in the permit. In order to view and photograph objects, documents and finds on site, in addition to a valid permit, it is also necessary to make an appointment at the direct contacts of the affected collections.

To take photos with your own device, you must exchange a HUF 1,000 photo day ticket and follow the on-site instructions of the consultant museologist supervising the research (eg. prohibiting the use of flash, grabbing and moving objects, stock protection restrictions, in case of materials not older than 5 years), written permission of a specialist).

Photos taken with one’s own device can only be published and used with a communication contract, after the payment of the publishing fees. The communication contract can be downloaded here, the fees can be found here. The communication contract regulates where, in what form, how many copies, how many times and with what captions the given photographs can be published.

PUBLICATION OF PHOTOGRAPHS AND DIGITAL COPIES ORDERED FROM THE MUSEUM

As part of the research service, it is possible to order copies (photocopying, printing, scanning) and photographs of works of art. The prices are included in the fee schedule. The services can be ordered by filling in the standard form.

If the Client / Researcher does not enter into the communication contract, the Museum will only transfer the recordings in low-resolution digital files.
