The exhibition displays the two-century history of acting in Miskolc, the past of the theater, and the careers of its artists from the age of barnstorming to present day. It revives the beginnings of the Hungarian theater, describes the operation and constant modernization of the second stone theater in Miskolc, which was dedicated in 1857. The largest unit of the exhibition in the great hall presents half a century of nationalized theater.

The space evokes the world of the stage, therefore visitors can feel like in an imitated stage environment: they can get acquainted with the behind the scenes world among the exhibition documents, photos, posters, stage designs, personal objects. They can also try on costumes, play with puppets, and activate the former lighting counter.
